Must be customer service oriented.
Set up displays of merchandise.
Process money, cheques, debit/credit
transactions.
Operate point of sale computer
system.
Provide advice about merchandise,
suggestive selling, suggest ways to
care for goods and be able to work
with minimal supervision. |

Assistant Manager: |
1-2 years experience
required.
Plan, direct and evaluate daily
operations.
Manage staff and assign duties.
Study market research and trends to
determine consumer demand, potential
sales volumes and effect of
competitors' operations on sales.
Implement price and credits
policies.
Perform cash deposits, balance daily
transactions.
Locate, select and procure
merchandise for resale.
Develop and implement marketing
strategies.
Plan budgets and monitor revenues
and expenses.
Determine staffing requirements and
recruit and train staff.
Prepare reports regarding sales
volumes, merchandising and personnel
matters.
Resolve problems that arise such as
customer complaints and supply
shortages.
Authorize payments by cheque and the
return of merchandise.
