Wages: |
$33.08 to
$41.22/ hr depending on experience and qualifications as per
the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement.
Northern Lights College does not cover relocation expenses
for short term temporary appointments less than 10 months in
duration. |

Qualifications: |
The
preferred qualification is a graduate degree in English with post-secondary teaching experience.
Candidates with an undergraduate degree in English and
post-secondary teaching experience may also be
considered. |

Duties: |
The successful candidate will teach one section
of English 099: Foundational Writing during the Spring
2012 intersession. This course will be video-conferenced to
surrounding communities and some travel between Dawson Creek
and Fort St John may be involved. While this contract
is for a maximum of 96 hours, successful incumbents are
encouraged to apply for other contracts.
English 099 introduces students to the fundamental aspects
of clear written communication in a variety of genres.
Genre coverage may include academic, creative, and workplace
writing. Emphasis is placed on effective communication in
each context, including organization of ideas, diction,
grammar, and punctuation. |
