Qualifications:

Education

  • Red Seal Journeyman Industrial Mechanic/ Millwright Certificate required.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' overall experience with at least 2 years' in the Oil & Gas Pipeline industry.
  • Exposure to pipelines is crucial; pipe coating experience preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Working conditions are typical for an industrial environment. Candidate may be on their feet for long periods of time and may require heavy lifting.
  • Ability to work at heights or in cramped spaces.
  • Pre-employment drug testing, Medical and Criminal record check required.

  • Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education/Qualifications

  • Some secondary education is required. Completion of secondary or post-secondary education will be an asset.
  • Valid Driver’s License is an asset.
  • OFA Level III will be an asset.

Skill Requirements

  • Experience in a fingerjoint mill is an asset but not a requirement.
  • Ability to work safely in a production environment using the English language.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision; independently or in a team environment.
  • Physically able to complete the duties of production line work.
  • Good hand/eye coordination and dexterity.
  • Involves lengthy periods of repetitive hand/arm/wrist use and standing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and be safety and quality oriented.

 

Duties:
  • Use monitors, scanners, variety of saws, fingerjoint assembly machine and robotics to assess and prepare materials.
  • Move materials by hand or with material handling equipment/machines.
  • Perform other material handling activities such as sorting and grading.
  • Operate conveyors and production equipment to transfer materials to/from storage bins and other machine.
